Project Overview

A brief look at the game's concept, mechanics, and development journey.

Updated: 01 Jan 2025

What started as a board game during my second year at Solent University has since transformed into a 3D multiplayer horror game, developed in Unity alongside my close friends, Matt Corben and Kyle Cornwell. This ongoing project has been a massive learning experience, as I’ve taken on nearly every aspect of game development.

As of the end of 2024, we are still actively working on the game, although our attention is also divided between this project and the development of a point-and-click game. This multiplayer horror game is my first attempt at networked gameplay, and working with Photon Fusion has taught me a great deal about multiplayer programming. Although I can’t share much yet, I’m excited for the day when we can reveal more about this project, as it is the longest-running one I’ve worked on to date.

My Contribution

Contributing to all aspects of development, from multiplayer integration and design to project management and collaboration.

[Producer]

  • I use a Kanban board to track tasks, which helps me stay efficient as both a QA tester and project manager.

[Gameplay Designer]

  • I was responsible for designing and programming a variety of survivor and killer perks, an in-game store, items, and weapons.

[Level Designer]

  • Designed levels and used Blender to create items and weapons.

[Multiplayer Programmer]

  • I’ve worked across all disciplines of game development, including multiplayer programming, and integrated Photon Fusion into Unity.
