A brief look at the game's concept, mechanics, and development journey.

We’re deep into creating a brand-new point-and-click adventure set in a rich fantasy world. This means building everything from the ground up: a brand-new world filled with unique characters, intriguing relationships, captivating locations, and challenging puzzles! While we’re keeping most of the details under wraps for now, we’re thrilled with how things are shaping up. By the end of 2024, we’ve written over 115,000 words of dialogue, crafted more than 20 quests packed with puzzles, and developed over 40 characters for you to meet and interact with.

 

As we head into the new year, our focus will shift to finishing up the story and bringing all of our locations to life through hand-drawn art. We’re aiming for an early 2026 release, and if you’re curious to learn more, check back here—I’ll be sharing updates as we get closer to the big day!

My Contribution

My role focused on creating engaging puzzles, writing dialogue, and designing levels that bring the game’s world to life.

  • Collaborated on programming the game’s mechanics in Unity, ensuring smooth and engaging gameplay.

  • Designed and implemented half of the point-and-click puzzles, including creative and challenging mini-games.

  • Contributed extensively to the game’s narrative by writing dialogue, developing lore, and crafting quests.

  • Managed the project workflow using a Kanban board to organise tasks and ensure timely progress.

  • Contributed to QA by thoroughly proofreading and testing a partner’s work to maintain quality across the project.
